Thinking about getting the Verizon plan for our macbooks. Will purchase the USB dongle since there is not a place for the standard air card. Does anybody know if that can be used by two computers at the same time? For example, my husband and me, at home. Have our network set up via Airport (uisng Comcast cable modem at this time).

If it can be done, would love any advice and/or comments as to how to set up, effectiveness, etc.

Thanks in advance!
Mary

Yes, create a peer to peer wifi network (or plug an ethernet cable in between the two computers) and enable internet connection sharing on the Mac with the verizon dongle.

Another alternative is buying a 3G EVDO router, e.g. D-Link DIR-450. Kinda expensive, though.
