Rating and scrubbing through songs is driving me nuts. It can't be that hard to code it in as an optional setup for the iPod app. grr!

Not for me. But then I don't rate or scrub songs with my iPhone, its either in my pocket or in the car cupholder, when I'm listening to music, I barely use the screen once its set.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

I find fast forwarding / backing up to be extremely annoying on the touch screen. No way to easily take things just a little way forward or bsck. When fast forwarding to the end of a podcast, for instance, it always jumps back -- varying amounts each time. Same for fast forwarding. Very obnoxious!

I don't listen to music much, but I much prefer the vertical scrolling/coasting interface to the click wheel. My thumb would get all crampy from scrolling through the 6k+ songs on my 60GB iPod Photo...after I started using vertical coasting with my Zune 8GB, I never wanted to go back to the click wheel.
Sell or send me your vintage Mac things if you don't want them.

where would the click wheel go? there is no room for it on the iphone/touch. plus if you give those ipods click wheels, you might as well give all other ipods touch screens. the touch and iphone are not unique with click wheels.

graphic click wheel on the screen, not a physical one.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.
