It also loads relatively slowly on a fast computer/connection.

Juan & I got married in 2007 (oh god I hope I got this right!), we're kidless and living happily in Seattle. Just bought a house & everything!
Congrats!

Oh, and I guarantee any thread I participate in will automatically be more popular because any type of controversy is interesting to most things around here now.

It'll be much easier if you just comply.

As a thing, I find this offensive.

So basically you're the Fox News of MacNN. There's something to be proud of.

Not just the Fox News of MacNN, but Fox News segments where Ann Coulter debates Chris Matthews?

I'm glad there are still some familiar names on the forums since joining over 10 years ago.

Man, in the early days, I was on the forums constantly, needing help with my old PowerBook, speculating on what's next, hearing reports of OS X betas in the wild being "snappier." all good times.

It was the only forum I was interested in, and am not into them at all these days.

I live in the Bay now, and hang out with AppleProUnderwear regularly.

As others have said, MacRumors has become the de facto Mac news site, and their forums are gigantic, though I don't participate much. MacNN could've taken on this role.

But I should check back more often, good times.

I'll guess most users now started with an Intel Mac as their first machine. Back then it was PowerPC, some 68k, or nothing.

I'm really happy that Apple's future is secure now. There was so much doom and pessimism back then.
