Actually it's incredulity. If you can't draw lines between public availability (even when it's lathered in bullshit) and higher poll numbers, then you're being dumb.

I can't draw the lines be between what you're referring to when you're talking about the overly broad terms 'ratings' one post and 'poll numbers' the next. The confusion could have been avoided if you just linked to whatever the hell youre referencing but you enjoy making any discussion with you as excruciating as possible.

I'll just repeat this:

Do you need a box of crayons to draw those lines?

That's interesting - elect Trump, and the GOP would be happy to impeach for the first blunder which merits it. I'm sure they would be thrilled to have Pence as the Commander in Chief.

In other things that won't sink Trump, his attacking the vets parents is going well. Another round of GOP disavowal. Will make for a great list in November.

Truth is it's impossible for his stances to stir much anymore. I'm morbidly curious what he could say to genuinely outrage me at this point.

Trump had no business going after the Khans. Why no outrage when Chris Matthews attacked Pat Smith on air? Time To change the name to MSDNC.

Media hypocrisy about grieving parents on full display - The American Mirror

The Khans are just the latest in a long line of grieving victims that the Democrat use to attack Republicans and the media spends the entire election cycle obsessing about, just ask Cindy Sheehan, Kristen Breitweiser, and Joe Soptic.

Someone noted that after a day of kicking the parents of dead war heroes, nothing beats a sweet bucket of chicken on a private jet.

Ladies and gentlemen, may I present the next President of the United States... Eric Cartman.

"I've always wanted a purple heart." Pity those bone spurs kept him from service then.

Not that service is required to be POTUS, but to a) bash vets, b) bash soldiers killed in battle, and then c) make such a statement... is just tone-deaf. I'm sure he could have bought a similar replica purple heart on ebay.

Two of the three debates are scheduled during Monday (ATL V NO) and Sunday Night Football (NYG V GB). I would demand that they be rescheduled.

I actually like KFC. I've only been to CfA once, and was unimpressed, but that was under less than ideal conditions (was with a person having a relationship meltdown).

Full disclosure: I only sorta like chicken. I like the skin. I like wings because they have a good skin to meat ratio. I'd rather have a steak most of the time.

Me too, I'm a super-huge steak whore/snob. I rarely go out for it, though (unless it's somewhere special). That's what grills are for. The other day I fixed a pit-style prime rib roast; seasoned and wrapped in foil, then buried it in a hole filled with hickory coals and hardwoods I'd left burning overnight, with a huge meat thermometer sticking out of the ground. I dug it up when it reached 135F, then carved and served it on hot slabs of Himalayan salt. It was epic, IIDSSM. KFC was good, back before they started screwing with the oils used to cook it, to make it more healthy. Now it's merely a shade of what it was, sadly.

That was the Sunday brunch, I do something like that nearly every week (because I love cooking food in new, extreme ways). I'll try to remember pics next time.

"Stupid"?

The letter signers include Michael Hayden, the former director of the CIA and the National Security Agency, two former secretaries of homeland security, and John Negroponte, who served as director of national intelligence and deputy secretary of state.

Actually I thought Trumps response to the letter was on point. He dismissed most of them as the neocons who were that architects of the foreign policy that led to the current Middle East. In that respect they are idiots.

Edit: Michael Hayden is an unapologetic supporter of the surveillance state from what I recall. His opinion means little to me.

If this story from back in 2013 contributed, the one where he supposedly calls Snowden supporters "nihilists, anarchists, activists, Lulzsec, Anonymous, twenty-somethings who haven't talked to the opposite sex in five or six years"... it's bullshit. The statement is not merely taken out of context, an entirely new context is created out of whole cloth.

The lack of basic fact-checking on display with this story was so offensive, I gave up all expectations of accuracy from the MSM afterwards.

Soooo .... Donald Trump just casually suggested that Hillary Clinton may have to be assassinated in order to block her judicial appointments if she becomes POTUS.

I'd say he implied 2nd amendment advocates might assassinate her, but either way, its not something a rational person implies or jokes about.

I thought this was overblown at first. I thought I knew what he meant, and that it was just poorly worded, but the more I thought about it, the less sense it made. He's just going to have to explain it himself.

Here's the thing, he can't really explain himself. He just throws out shit people want to hear and speaks without thinking. I'm just as likely to believe he knew what he was saying as I am that he didn't realize what he was saying. Given his pattern of verbal diarrhea, it's reckless.

By now, how much benefit of the doubt do you want to give Trump? At this point it is patently clear that Trump constantly “misspeaks” (whether he just improvises or deliberately tries to provoke doesn't matter), I think that (among other traits) would make him a disastrous President.

Cherry picking polls that suit your point is not really useful. Fivethirtyeight is quite clear, Trump's chance to win is very, very small (as of now 85 % vs. 15 % chance of winning and a 7.1 % lead in the popular vote). According to the current projections, Clinton has almost twice the number of electoral votes than Trump — even Georgia will vote for Hillary Clinton. Trump has a huge mountain to climb.

Have a look at Nate Silver's track record, that speaks for itself. Also, not to put too fine a point on it, but Silver doesn't poll himself, he takes many polls as input for his models.
