I have a linksys dsl wireless router with 3 macs and an ibook with a

I'm not in tune with the mysteries of TCP/IP, but you might try going into the TCP/IP control panel, changing the the configure: popup to manual and then assigning an address of something like 192.168.0.5. Put in a subnet mask of 255.255.255.0. Then see if the NAS shows up in the Network Browser or under Appleshare (doubtful). It's possible that you might have to do a restart before looking for the server. (I do a little work for a couple of small newspapers who use Quantum NAS devices which do support Appletalk. They're pretty neat little packages.)

This may be completely useless advice, but since no one else seems to be stepping forward with any dopey ideas I'll give it a try. Good luck.
