Does no one record movies from TV anymore?
Is that illegal.? I have just recorded this classic film on EyeTV. Can I legally watch it.?

It's only legal if you store it on a rack mounted SCSI RAID that has all its bays occupied.

I recorded that one too. It is definitely legal to record from TV.

Yeah ok. I may have exaggerating slightly when I said my collection was entirely legit. Also my bays are still unoccupied.

This thread was a timely warning: newegg HD prices started going up a couple days after the 1st post. So far the 2TB and 3TB drives have about doubled in price. I expect them to go higher.
Did anyone stock up? I didn't need any before next summer, so I decided to weather it.
