My Black Pro keyboard is extreamly dirty, anyone know the safest way to clean it, has anyone ever taken the keyboard apart?

You should search the forums in this section. I have seen a post where a person took apart his whole keyboard and cleaned it in water and then let it dry for several days and then put it all back together.

I decided it was too risky and time-consuming to disassemble mine so I just removed and cleaned the keys, then used a really powerful vacuum cleaner to get the crud out. A plastic toothpick was useful for getting at stubborn stuff.

A lot of nasty stuff gets in keyboards. I used to turn mine upside down and just bang it on the table to clean it...I would always be surprised at how much crap had accumulated inside there. That was with this setup, though (G4 867)...wouldn't work very well with my new PowerBook

I haven't tried cleaning a black one, but I found a great way to clean my white Pro keyboard.
Mr. Clean erasers. You just wet them and they clean the **** out of your keyboard, even in the nooks.
