I just set up my G4 as a music server for my house. It is connected via Ethernet to my iMac and via Airport to my iBook. Everything seemed to work ok until i go on the net using dial-up on the iMac.

If i connect with dial up on the iMac then iT4 wont let me browse the shared music, unless i move Ethernet above the Modem in the network prefpane - but doing this means the dial-up stops working.

Any ideas? I gather that when i conenct with dialup iT4 is using the PPP subnet and not the ethernet one?

I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.
