Well my friend just trashed his laptop by spilling Coke all over it.. which got me thinking - I'm so going to do that soon!

So I just placed a transparency sheet between the keyboard and the AP Card etc. So if liquid spills ont he machine it wont go straight though into thr RAM and AP card etc..

I noticed though that there are holes there, and ive now gone and blocked them - is this going to cause a overheating problem? Im guessing not as the plastic behind the keyboard does not seem to be breatheable..
I free'd my mind... now it won't come back.

It is unlikely that it releases heat this way - it wouldn't make a lot of difference seeing as there is zero space between the metal plate and the keyboard.

If you are worried though, why not leave the sheet out, and only put it in when you are about to spill something? ;-)

I've always been told that a minimal amount of heat was released through the keyboard, which is why Apple never allowed the notebooks to operate with the screen closed. I'd be kinda weary about covering that up.

Just don't spill coke on your computer.

All glory to the hypnotoad.

yea.. im with jokell82.... I always read that part of the cooling system for the iBooks is heat dissipitating through the keyboard.

You could always use Temperox too see whether or not it makes a difference.
