Hello,

Noticed on the Macworld site that the Quake benchmarks are a lot slower than what Apple is advertising on their site (268 vs. 337). Was there a difference in the Graphics cards, or is that version of Quake slower than others?

1.32 should be much faster and the latest version (I'm not sure of the number) has Altivec enhancements which even helped my dual 800 jump a bit in the fps. They tested a stock dual G5 with a Radeon 9600 I presume. Yes the 9800 will make a significant improvement on that machine. (they don't charge $300 more for nothin')
