Hi, quick one...

Does anyone know what the background music is in the 'cotton balls' panther welcome movie?

You can find the movie here:

Thanks in advance,

-phill

Not to disappoint you, but that's no longer the Panther welcome video... I think the new one mildly sucks.

Apple does have a great taste in music, the new welcome screen is a bit bland, but the new music track is top notch. It's changed from the blurry balls one.

Yup, the new one just sucks compared to this one, that's why I referred to the cotton balls. Its a pity they replaced it with the current one.

No-one seems to want to say what the 'current' one is.

I heard it was a Ryksopp track... is that true?

Yes, "Eple", Good choice.

The new into is still very cool, would be interesting to know why the into movie/music changed in the later builds.

Love Royksopp... Eple is one of my fave's...

Apple = impecible taste!

The tune from the origina iPod ad was wicked too... Take California by The Propellerheads.

My friend has just done a remix of Ryksopp and ATC....

If you like that kind of music, have a listen to Kruder & Dorfmeister, Aim, Rae & Christian (espiacilly Mark Rae's Rae Road album).

Great stuff, there isn't a day that goes by in which I'm not playing Aim, just beautiful.

I posted it in another thread, but I don't think that most people know.

I hope it'll end up as the final welcome music! It's not the best Ryksopp tune, I like Poor Leno better. That would of course be a bad choice for a welcome screen.

Here's the original video in Real format.

Where is it kept in Panther? I could put it up on a server for a bit. It's not really a movie, from what I remember though, just a black background with the new X logo, but sweet music on top

sanity assassin,

Could you also host the COMPLETE & UNEDITED original Panther intro for us?

Since Apple pulled it off from Panther GM, I won't put my hands on it when I'd buy it !

OK, I've got the compressed version available through this Forum; but, as a collector, I'd love to keep the exact .mov (or .mp4?) located in the 7B59 build.

Thanks!
