Hi there - greetings from Copenhagen
I have this good semi-old printer, and Okipage 14i, which has served me well for about 3 years. It is equipped with an ethernet card and with an extra "lower tray".
Now ... after installing OSX (Panther) I couldn't make it work. Oki does not suggest a solution and there is no OSX-driver available on their website.
Then someone suggested I simply opened Print Central and added the printer and selected "other" and pointed to the Oki PPD file.
I did, and that wouldn't work until I renamed the PDD file. Adding the .PPD extension helped.
Now the Macs sees the printer and we can print ... but ONLY from the upper tray.
Does anybody know, how to get the system to recognize that there are 2 trays? I assume it says so in the PPD file, 'cause it works fine under OS 9.
