I've heard a lot of people on these boards mention that they had to bring their imacs and emacs in to service centers to get cds removed from their drives. Is it not still possible to eject the CD drive by holding down the mouse at startup?

there is a manual eject for the flat panel iMac. look under the cd tray on the right. there are 3 white gears. moving from right to left look under the 3rd gear in that thin piece of black plastic between the cd tray and the white of the bottom of the cd opening. there are two cut-outs in that thin black plastic. the one on the left, the small one is the manual eject hole. it goes way back and to the left like a door on a house, had to use a jewelers screwdriver to push it as it takes a bit of force and a paper clip would just bend.
