Help!

I need to use the smoothcam filter in Final Cut Pro, but it's not there. It's just gone! I don't remember whether it was there before or not, because I never needed to use it, but now I need to use it, and it's just NOT THERE!!

Should I reinstall the program or what?

The only difference between the full and academic versions should be the licensing and lack of an upgrade path on the academic.
Are you sure you have final cut pro 6? If you are using final cut pro 6(in the newest Final Cut Studio 2). It should be called "SmoothCam" and it should located in effects->video filters->video. If you are using any previous version of final cut then you don't have the filter and you're out of luck unless you have shake.

I purchased Final Cut Studio 2 Academic from the apple education store, about a month ago. I installed all 52GB, installed all the 2.0.1 updates, and that's where I am now. Final Cut Pro 6.0.1, everything working flawlessly, NO smoothcam.

Any other ideas?
