Sometime Front Row doesn't work at all. The volume does (always) so it isn't something with the connection one would say.

Could be the Menu-button of the Apple Remote.

I had great hopes when Apple recently released an Front Row upgrade, but that didn't make any difference.

To be very very very honest (hm) I did install a beta of iAlertU, and that does plug in the infra red, but I did uninstall it, but maybe didn't install all?

Just in case it has nothing to do with that beta program, does any of you have the same problems?

Thanks.

Try using your keyboard to control Front Row, then you'll know if it's the app or your remote.

You can also try deleting it's pref files in home foler/library.

Thanks! It's strange this isn't documented. Now I remember it from the time we had to do this for the post - infra-red - machines
