Anyone know of a cause for activity monitor to be completely blank? (process list, cpu graphs, network graphs etc.)

It started last week, but I didn't notice until just yesterday.

It seems to be after I installed CoreDuoTemp, but I uninstalled that, restarted and still nothing.

I get this error in console:

Code:
10-12-16 12:01:22 AM Activity Monitor[477] Error communicating with activitymonitord - ipcErr = 100002
At first I thought my hardware sensors may have gone since my computer is almost 5 years old, however iStat shows all of the info fine.

10.6.5 on a 2006 CD iMac.

Also tried a different user, same thing.

Any thoughts? Solutions?
