Have a Mirror Door Mac that has run two optical drive since day one. Just swapped out one of the drives and now System Profiler only sees one drive.

I have switched drive positions and swapped cables to cover every combination but it only one drive gets seen.

Individually, the drives work. Each cable connection works so long only one is plugged in at a time.

Thoughts...suggestions...

Check the jumpers on the back of the drives. One should be master, one should be slave (the correct positioning is usually labelled on the back or top of the drive).

The jumper was the culprit, thanks.
