OMG Shut up with the stupid petitions. It will come in time. They have to get through legal stuff first, and it wouldn't even be apples fault.

Not to mention all the different currencies.

Do you really think its going to be a 1 day process. Makr my words they are working on it.

Apple is in the business of making money. They won't exclude markets in which they think they can make money.

International iTunes music stores......another topic that has been beaten to death many times over.

Like said above....forget the stupid petitions....when Apple sorts out the legalities with all the different companies involved (remember - each artist can have a different company/label in each country.....) then there will be an iTunes store for Europe.
Artificial intelligence is no match for natural stupidity...

Seriously....

What's next in the pile of "no **** sherlock" petitions?

"Petition for Apple to make Faster Computers"
"Petition for Apple not to close the company"
"Petition for Apple to try to make a profit"

What a waste of time. You think this will make a difference? You think Apple isn't already working on this?

Maybe you should go negotiate with the European record companies instead of dicking around with stupid petitions.

We know that there are legal "problems" to overcome and this petition is to encourage you in your work."

If you do a search on google, you'll find that Apple is in negotiations to do exactly what you want. Negotiations are not finished, and Apple would love to have an Itunes everywhere. Has to do with digital rights management and pricing issues, I think.

Odd though that they apparently have one up and running in Taiwan according a recent article I read where it said Ipods were selling like hotcakes.

That translates to, "We know this is a total waste of time and effort that could be percieved as disgruntledness and cannot make a difference either way, but Go Apple Go!"

I see you're getting a bit rusty in Petitionspeak. It more correctly translates to "Hi Apple! We all think the iTMS is great and wanted to send you an encouragement to bring iTMS to EU - don't get us wrong we're not disgruntled and we're not expecting this petition to make a difference. It's just our way to say Go Apple Go!"

Horsepoo!!!: That wasn't necessary. tkoc means only well I think.

tkoc: The reason why there is some mixed reactions here is that there have been countless numbers of petitions and rants around here about "missing" Apple offers in Europe compared with what our fellow Americans gets from Steve. Don't take it personally, your effort sounds like a positive contribution for the cause. (No rant)

There money isn't as good as our money, and we are more then happy dealing only with the good citizens of the United States of America. I'm also didn't spend over nine months of production time and 2.5 million dollars to have europeans download F@#$ing techno!!!"

My previous post was meant to be ironic.

You MUST be kidding me if you think Apple could simply "push a button" and make millions from a service that is already operational but is "waiting" for something.

A petition will do nothing.

Perhaps a petition regarding "Free iPods for everyone that walks into an Apple Store"

THEN the european folds can be upset.

That's it, I'm starting a petition to release OS X to Open Source.
