A lot of work went into this update.
Here are the changes:

Panther compatibility:
ALL elements remade and overlooked! Buttons have a slightly more defined border which also uses transparency so that it adapts to darker backgrounds, which is great for webpages.
The theme is now separated into three different theme variations: "Milk" which only uses white elements, "Chrome Milk" which makes certain elements chrome (more than it used to) and "Black Milk" which adds a black Apple menu icon and black menus (original mod by Giano).
New cool async progress icon which looks like dripping milk.
New Apple menu icon based on the Panther chrome apple.
Added Menu Extras in Milk style.
Added a right bevel to menus.
All text is now slightly less black to give a better Milk-feel.
Updated Safari skin, now included with the theme.
Included two more desktop pictures: "HiTechMilk" by Jacques R. Blier and "Padded Desktops" by Marcel B.

You can get the theme from my homepage (click signature).

Hope you like it and feel free to post comments or bugs.

FREAKIN' AWSOME DUDE!!
I love it!!

The dripping milk, and the whole thing. Except for one itsy bitsy thing. When I installed the safari skin the tabs has a dotteline on it. That is kinda ugly I think. Is it supposed to be there?

You're all welcome! I'm glad you enjoy the theme!

I made a gif out of it:

It's actually the only thing that is really new about the theme and I spent some time surfin looking at videos and such of drops in slowmotion. This drop is a little simplified but I'm really happy with it.

One thing I noticed with the Async in general under Panther.. You know that apple added a Large Async right? well, it turns out that that one is used in Cocoa apps (not all, but mail for example) and that it's actually shrunk back to 16x16 pixels... so I resized my small async arrow using "Nearest neighbor" and then pasted it into the Large async arrow too, and that looks just like every other async animation now. Unless they are actually using the Large Async arrow in full size somewhere (32x32 pixels) I don't understand why they even added it..

Having a problem with the highlighting in menus with black milk, im getting my regular aqua highlight instead of the greyish color i should be getting. works fine under the 2 other milk variations.
I can't reproduce this, is it when you have the theme applied or when previewing it? You are using 10.3 right?

Also, the new right bevel in the menus doesn't look like it's been applied to the top and bottom of menus. The far upper-right and lower-right corners are still flat.

Chrome apple looks like it could be smoothed out a bit, too, but that's just me.

Awesome work. New favorite theme.

The right bevel can't be applied to the top or bottom. I think it's better than nothing though.

cloudaj - that is very odd
Try reapplying the theme or something, maybe Smeger could be of better help here. It seems that theme have been mixed with your previous theme or something.

OK, I applied it, and I have to say that I am againg in love with this theme all over again and most definitely happy about the THREE variations.

Alas, I have one comment to make.
I may be alone with this one, but I prefered the previous white apple in the menu. I still like the new one, but I find it too much. It's hard to explain. Other than that, it is the theme that I am buying Shapeshifter for!
Nice work and keep it up!

I guess I'll live . Chalk up another Aqua shortcoming due to Apple's lazy interface design crew.

Thanks for the reply.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. When I right click on my hard drive or iPod, some of the bevel or whatever it is on the right side of the contextual menu is missing.

As much as I am appreciative, as much as I tend to love your themes, I am still overwhelmingly disappointed with the lack of the real, original titlebars of your themes. I must say that it is quite a shock when I downloaded this theme and found that my finder windows were a flat white color with some cool chrome buttons. It made me feel a little mislead as the preview image for this theme has a titlebar. I think that the preview image should at least show the more prominent / typical state of the theme.... the finder window.

Do I need to install demetalifizer or something? If this is the case, then I probably won't use SS anymore. Especially as it has touted a certain amount of themeing freedom, and all I see are a bunch of themes that are still shackled to the metal windows.
I for one am shocked that I haven't seen any posts by BBX about the still continued discontinuities in interface elements, even with SS.

shapeshifter only?
Yes. Although Milk looks ok with ThemeChanger too. What you can do is apply the theme with ShapeShifter, launch Themepark and create a new theme. Choose to merge everything with installed elements and save that as a dlta.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or not. When I right click on my hard drive or iPod, some of the bevel or whatever it is on the right side of the contextual menu is missing.
It's not a bug, it's a limitation. The right cap is only possible for text. I think it's better than nothing though.

Won't do without a Black Chrome though, specially since you can't edit guikits...

(can't stand heavy menus)
Yeah that seems like a good idea. I'll fix that sometime. But you CAN edit guiKits, with Themepark. You create a new theme or guikit and choose to merge with the elements you like. There are good instructions on this on my support/faq section.

I deeply move to tears Max...thanx
For the great theme, and for the reference to my name...
Of course you should have credit, it was your idea.

When I apply the Chrome Milk, I get the the regular milk widgets, not the new ones. Any ideas ?

Are you sure you're applying the right version? make sure the that radio button has the chrome version selected.

And thanks again to all who like it, I'm glad you do

Yay, the perfect white theme!

Now, who will win the coveted crown of perfect black theme - Omega or (future version of) TuXedo?

It's made for 10.3, not 10.2. It's not possible to have it be backwards compatible, it never was. You will have to stick to Milk 1.6.2.
