It's that time of year again. Have I mentioned before that I love snow?

We got about 9" of fluffy white stuff last night. Shut down all of the schools, so my wife had the day off. Woo Hoo!!!

I walked around after the tedious work of digging out after the plows come through and took some pics.

Here they are:
Pic of part of my back yard. My shed and the neighbors house.

A squirrel getting his nuts out.

My house after diggin out.

The sidewalk.

Fence post giving you an idea of how much we got last night.

Bird house showing the same thing.

The depot in my sig pic.

Downtown my little town.

Downtown my little town.

Another backyard shot. The crappy fence is a temp solution to keeping my dog from tearing the yard apart while chasing squirrels around.

Cool pics man. Why the Depot pictures? Didn't know you were into rail. We got a bit last night too, I couldn't get Kristin's honda out of her spot on the street for about 15 minutes thanks to the plow.

What do you mean "'tis the season"? That's awfully politically correct. Why didn't you say "Merry Christmas"?
One should never stop striving for clarity of thought and precision of expression.
I would prefer my humanity sullied with the tarnish of science rather than the gloss of religion.

Sweet! Snow rocks.
Been inclined to wander... off the beaten track.
That's where there's thunder... and the wind shouts back.

Nice. We got a couple of inches too. Our street doesn't get ploughed - it looked great with all the Christmas lights out this morning.

Directly South of Saginaw about 20-25 miles. Between Lansing and Flint just off of I-69.

I grew up in a railroading town. Our town festival is called "Railroad Days". The local high school (where I graduated) team is the "Railroaders." A lot of the people around here work for the railroad. You can't cross town without getting stopped by a train.

It gets in your blood.

Plus, I was driving by it and I thought you guys would like to see a better picture than what is in my sog.

Cool. My grandpa (who I never met) was a conductor for a train in madison (milwaukee road). My dad grew up around trains, so he would always take me to see trains when I was a kid. I'm all about the streamliners (s1) and the aerotrain.

I shouldn't have to get a shovel when I am paying for snow removal. I am a fancy man.

Ah.... Miss Norway and the snow. Going to celebrate Christmas here in Australia, and it's weird singing about snow and just seeing beaches. Meh...

Nope. They closed it quite a while ago.

It's a golf driving range now.
