I have some pix that I need to send to somebody in the form of regular 4x6 or 5x7 prints. A bunch, actually. And he lives in the US and I'm in France AND he doesn't want to deal with a cd, or anything.
He's one of the last remaining "Still not convinced digital photography is worth the bother" folks. But he ran out of film when visiting and reluctantly used my camera on the condition that I send him prints.
I've heard of Shutterfly, Opodo and so on. Has anyone here actually used one of these services? Thought? Quality?
The very future of digital photography is at stake here.
Thanks,
Paul

Hi - I would go with shutterfly - I've tried a handful and they seem to be pretty good - good colors, good price, etc.

Well if you're going to send them to the US yourself then I would suggest PixDiscount. Really cheap and great quality (I was shocked to see how good it was, never expected that). If you need a US based company than I can be of no assistance.

I personally use Sony's ImageStation, mainly because my Sony camera came with 100 free prints from them, and I was perfectly happy with the quality and pricing they provided.
I've also had some printed through iPhoto, and I can't tell the difference.
Sony is $0.10 for a 4x6 on sale, usually $0.12. iPhoto is $0.19 these days.
I've heard great things about MPIX, but they have always seemed a bit expensive at $0.29 for a 4x6.

Yeah, they even have an iPhoto plugin you can use to upload to them.
