Typical socialism: rather than allowing society to solve society's problems, they try to force it through law. This only breeds resentment, which leads to fighting, which leads to more law, and the cycle continues.

This is why I say that a separation of Society and State is at least as important as the separation of Church and State.

Is it not forbidden to sell ET dolls in France or human dolls with an alien face ? I don't know if that's still the case, but I've read that quite a few places.

What is the next thing to be banned by the French ?

Yes, because securing property and business rights is so much more important than the environment.

Erm, society doesn't fix these kind of things on itself in the real world. You really need laws like this.

This has nothing to do with socialism. It is standard economics.

... That is, as far as I know. Can someone update the original link? It isn't working for me.

Some stores recycle their plastic bags around here, but not all. I always reuse plastic bags. Paper bags are used to hold paper recycling.
