TicketZen, an app for paying off parking tickets, launched Monday at TechCrunch Disrupt 2014. Users can scan the barcode (or enter the violation number) on a received parking ticket to import all relevant data attached to it, and then pay it off. Using the app as a method of payment comes with an attached fee from $1-$3. TicketZen for iOS is currently available for use in Washington DC, Chicago, Boston, Cambridge, State College and New York City, and only in Boston for Android users.

Bitcasa debuts new cloud storage service aimed at developers

Cloud storage company Bitcasa has announced a new service aimed at application developers, called Bitcasa CloudFS Platform. Allowing developers to create file sharing, file management, media transcoding and encryption technology, the platform enables this without the need for composing complex code. Bitcasa CloudFS features client-side encryption, as well as a "Turn-key Drive" intended for creating one's own branded cloud service without requiring up-front infrastructural investments. Officially available later this spring, developers can sign up now to be a part of their beta testing.
