Hello,
I have received My G5 with the incorporated Bluetooth, but they
have not sent the external antenna.
The module is installed, but I cannot connect with any device, is
necessary the antenna?
Thanks

Yes, you need the antenea to use Bluetooth.
Sometimes I wonder what Apple leaves off my orders. I wonder if my Powerbook was supposed to have a fw800 adaptor...

Strange, mine came with both Bluetooth and Airport antennas even though I didn't order either module.

Honestly, it's like playing the lottery with buying Apple product. I just bought a 15" AI in December and I didn't receive a FW800 adapter... The iPod and iSight have to share the same port! Good of Apple to also only design firewire devices that terminate the firewire chain.
Back when I used to sell Macs, I saw my share of extras in the box.... which might explain my I have several Firewire 4-6 pin cables... and no DV camera. And the classic, the good ol' days when a Five pack of Apple DVDs, came with six DVDs. Of course, I've never open a new mac box to find a faster machine then I purchased... or a DVD-RW included when I ordered a Combo!
Oddly enough, I never win more then $10 on the lottery.

Since when are powerbooks supposed to come with a FW800 adapter? Says nothing about a FW800 adapter on apples powerbook tech specs page, and I know I did't get one (rev A 17"), and my roommate didnt get one (rev A 15" Alu).
Anyways, it seems that having the antenna's for your powermac is important, otherwise none of the wireless stuff will work.

That aluminum is a great signal blocker. Both external antennaes are required. I did get an AP antenna with mine even tho' I didn't get the card, but no BT.
