As far as I know this is the only icon program that currently supports the new 512 px super huge icons. However, it's only available by installing the developer tools, or extracting it from the Leopard install CD via Pacifist. Now, I checked the install CDs that came with my MacBook but Pacifist came up empty -- I can only assume this is because it is not a retail version?

Is there any other way (or alternatives) to getting Icon Composer? My only option seems to be downloading the 1.1. GB file for the 10.5 Developer's Tools from Apple, trying Pacifist again or installing them and deleting everything but Icon Composer, but I really don't feel like doing that.

Very kind. I won't be able to download it until I get home from work.

Thanks.

BTW, for posterity, you can download the latest Developer Tools package from developer.apple.com at any time.

I realize that, but as someone who needs a program smaller than 5 MB, it seems like a royal pain to download a GB's worth of data.

It looks like I owe you some thanks. From what i can tell, Icon COMposer doesn't let me decompose icons, so to speak.

Still, the price is ridiculous. Hope they allow me to 'demo' it.
