Last week we had some type of odd error where people posts were being time-stamped several hours prior to their actual submission. This week, it appears the error is now down to 2 or 3 minutes. Does this mean whoever fixed the server with the incorrect time didn't set the time completely synchronous with the others?

If someone could look into this, I'd appreciate it, as with my ninja-like posting, I've been replying to quite a few posts only to find my response above them.

FYI: I know when this happens because I get a "You must wait at least 30 seconds between posting", for whatever little that's worth.

XOXO

I'm told the server clocks are synced again. If the time travelling keeps up, let us know so we can arrest your future selves. We should'd have allowed this tomorrow, it will be a mistake.

Is this some kind of time-travel-related special tense? A past-futuristic future perfect?

The timing issue was never completely solved. 2-3 min "time travels" have been occurring repeatedly over the last weeks.

Dude, are you serious ? This has been happening for two months now.

It's a server clock out of sync, so some posts get time-stamped wrongly.

What's so hard about fixing it, Hampstor only knows.

On odd occasions, yes. But for the last couple of months, it happened ALL the time.

That's exactly it! Go change right now.

One of the servers keeps rolling to the future.

Where did you have this problem?

The time-violation posts have been going on since 2008. I'm fairly sure it's not my car altimeter this time. On the other hand, it might be worthwhile to revisit turtle's tweak to showthread options from two pages back.

Uh oh, I can sense another time glitch will happen on the next post.

As you can see, all is well as I post this. And I thought we'd ruled out admin CP settings; it almost has to be in the HDVI chip since the clocks keep reverting to hollywood time.

Is it fixed now ?

I don't understand why it is so hard to synchronize all those server clocks...
