Anyone see Anchorman yet? What are your thoughts? I really enjoyed this movie. It was a little corny at times but it had me laughing all the way through. I liked the cameo appearances by Jack Black, Vince Vaughn, Ben Stiller & Luke Wilson. If you haven't seen it yet, make sure you stick around during the credits. They show some pretty funny out takes.

Slick shoes?! Are you crazy?!

My GF so wants to see it.

On the other hand there are like 192873 good movies I have to see. I guess Anchorman is a new one on the list.

Oh and I still haven't seen 9/11...

Saw it this evening and it's more messed up and funny than any of the commercials let on. Definitely worth the money.

It's really stupid and really funny. When was the last time you saw a News teams street fight? Will Ferell is hilarious.

and the only good scene, the only reason people continued to laugh was that they thought it was going to get better but it never did the 1 1/2 hours w/ out baxter took it's toll and the movie had way too many sexual innuendo by the end of the movie it was a lot more annoying than funny _

No nudity.

Saw it last night (Friday) in packed theatre. Verdict? Funny, but no Elf.

The structure was really loose, as if it was mostly improvised off a thin script.

Brick cracked me up everytime. And Ferrell was really hilarious when he was being an utter chauvenist jackass.

The movie has a Bill Curtis narration, like an A&E special (Bill Curtis was a network anchorman himself), which is used sporadically and unconvincingly. There are lot's of cameos that aren't as funny as the actors could have been (for God's sake, don't spoil them in this thread!). And some of the gags are too much like "gags", but it's fun to see, like an extended SNL showcase.

The movie probably best compares to The Wedding Singer and Adam Sandler movies. If you liked that, you'll probably like Anchorman.

Also, after the credits are finished, there's an additional scene.
"I stand accused, just like you, for being born without a silver spoon." Richard Ashcroft

With Will Ferrell in the movies it's bound to be great. A very funny actor.

Not bad; however, I enjoyed the tear-jerk of The Notebook better...
