Just bought one of these as storage drive for my TiBook as a small back up drive for the PC card slot.
Anyone that can use a 2GB drive that's got a device with a PC card slot, I highly recommend these at this price. Normally I've seen the Toshiba drives for as much as <a href="http://search.shopping.yahoo.com/search/all?P=all&is=1&p=Toshiba+2GB&clink=dmiyg/Toshiba%2b2GB" target="_blank">$300-$400</a>

The 5GB FireFly drive is still a better deal at that price (assuming you can find any).

I think the fastest currently are still only 5400. An MP3 will play fine even off a CD, let alone a hard drive. That these are the drive type in an iPod should be a major clue that MP3 playback isn't an issue.
True that the firefly 5 gig is a better deal at $99, but personally I wanted something completely internal. I already have several small size Firewire externals to cart around in addition to my laptop. This was a great alternative to an IBM CF-sized microdrive.
