Anyone else having problems with Linotype FontExplorer under 10.5.2? I'm on a PowerPC machine. The problem isn't with FontExplorer itself, but if it's running, it wreaks all kinds of havoc...Dock freezes, MS Office apps won't load, Safari sometimes freezes. If you kill FontExplorer (e.g. from Terminal), the other apps instantly become unstuck. The problems began as soon as I downloaded 10.5.2.
[Added: I have interception of font requests turned off, so it isn't related to that.]

Got this too. With FontExplorer running my dock freezes, the machine runs dog slow, skype won't launch and I can't run any of my CS3 apps.
Quit FEX and it's all good to go...apart from not having automatic access to my fonts.
Looks like it's back to 10.5.1 until Linotype can fix this.

I wouldn't count on that. They haven't made an update since August. They still aren't fully compatible with CS3 and they haven't done any updates for Leopard yet.

They surprised me. FEX 1.2.3 is out now. Hopefully it fixes all the other problems I've been waiting on since their last update in August.

They can spite me all they want as long as they fix their problems. Hopefully, they've fixed their asinine way of handling network home directories in this release.
