I kind of like it...It's a bit over the top, and a bit too cluttered looking, but it looks decent I guess...Maybe for 400 or so dollars..

Looks like the bling-bling of the desktops. No taste, lots of features. No idea why they call it "Nordic Silver". Stuff from Ikea has more personality of the nordic than this desk.

Sniffer gone old-school sig

My first post on these forums - I've been following this thread with a degree of envy whilst I waited for delivery of my new PB 15"... and heres my new set up...

21" Monitor / PB 15" 1.67 (the 20" is being driven by the PB with the PB screen being used to hold Mail.app and MSN Messenger... The PB is on top of an iLap...

40gb iPod Photo (playing iTMS purchase of the new Oasis album!) on top of a LaCie 160GB external drive / BT Keyboard and Mouse...

The screen on the PB is amazing - I've got the curtain drawn because of the amount of sunlight flooding the room and glaring off the main screen - the PB however handles it amazingly well.

Hope this link works!

Just got my new computer chair. Making due with the same small desk as seen earlier -- for now though I moved the mini to the top shelf and can now use the keyboard on the desk.

1st post! w00t!

Also, first time to own an Apple, and am lovin' it so far. Thought I'd post up a pic of my 12" PB setup. Not as nice as most of y'alls setups, but here it is:

So ghetto, I know. I'm looking to get that Dell 24" Widescreen sometime soon hopefully.

Don't mind my Jessica Alba wallpaper.

Yeah, I know. I've had this monitor now for about 6 years. At the time, I think Sony was trying to go with a more decorative approach with this monitor (trying to make it more stylish like a TV, instead of the plain old monitor on a stand look). It went well with the Sony WEGA TV that I already had, and at the time I bought it 6 years ago, looked a lot nicer in comparision to other CRT monitors that were out. And surprisingly enough, it actually matches the look of my Pb now. Haha!

Does your 15" get too hot on your legs when wearing shorts? If I am doing anything CPU intensive, it makes my legs sweat too much!

Actually, no. Doesn't get too hot. But then again, I don't think my legs sweat.

When I walked into the apple store and saw the PBs I used to think "man those are so awesome", and I wanted one badly lol..

Well damnit, now I've got it, and I couldn't be happier as far as my computing needs go I have (IMHO!) one of the best powermac setups and now I can have one of the best powerbook setups muwahhahahahahaha

Okay so mine (together) certainly isn't the most impressive in the world, but it's much much more than good enough

You guys got lucky with the wallpaper, I got that off spymac but didn't remember to rename it to something more meaningful, so the 'upload number' was still there and I was able to grab the original URL

http://www.spymac.com/gallery/show_p...hp?picid=92792

It's not as electric as it seemed in my picture, but IRL it looks pretty damn spiffy Hope you enjoy it!
