I wonder how well this new feature would work. What if you're running some severely old brushed-metal apps with the 2 inch thick borders (I'm exaggerating of course)...those apps will never look good even with 'Consistent' turned on. And what about Pro apps...and heavily customized UIs like iDVD, iMovie, GarageBand?

I'm really happy to see this new feature though. I really hope those HD icons are custom though...yuck.

Mixed and Consistent? I cannot believe that's what the options will be called upon release, even if this screen shot is legitimate.

Everything's for sale with enough money. That I lack that kind of money is not what's important here, the fakeness of that screenshot is ;-)

The item that's already selected in a pop-up menu always appears aligned with the same text in the button. That means the selection you already have is under the cursor when you click. If you look at the picture the selected item (Consistant) is below the pop-up button, which doesn't happen.

Heh. I guessed it was fake. I didn't see any real reason for Apple to do something like that.

I can't believe people were actually arguing over whether it was fake.

Well, I thought it was funny, anyway.

That's what I was thinking... Ekk!

Also, I love it when people say, "prove that the random internet image is a fake!"

Of course it's fake. It's supposed to be funny, and poke fun at Apple for lacking consistency in UI design of OSX and Apps. I don't think the person intended to stir debates of fakeness (is that even english ?), they just wanted to make people laugh

Apple tried to do that in Copland. It crashed like crazy.

I don't think it was the themes that caused Copland to crash. They backported that to OS 8 and it worked fine.

They removed themes simply because it would have been customer support nightmare to explain all different looks to customers on phone, in help documents, etc.

It has nothing to do with it being buggy.
