Just wondering if apple have put in an option to record a video chat in the new version of ichat av coming with tiger.

Conferencing is neat, but I'd like to record some of my videochats.

SnapzPro has a habit of locking up, I wondered if apple had an alternative.

Cheers,

J.

Thanks Sandsi,

I thought as much but wanted to check. Guess I'll have to persevere with snapz and see if I can get it sorted.

Cheers,

J.

Ambrosia's WireTap might be more to your taste...

[Edit: sorry - thought you said audio chat]

What the nerd community most often fail to realize is that all features aren't equal. A well implemented and well integrated feature in a convenient interface is worth way more than the same feature implemented crappy, or accessed through a annoying interface.

wow! I had that same thought today, too! Called Apple, who said they don't support it yet, but I'd think it would be an obvious feature to include in a future rev.

Read a pile of negative comments about Snapz Pro, so I guess that option's out.

I found wiretap to be problematic with respect to simply audio capture...

Maybe someday

I'm guessing that you can't record from the iSight in iMovie while iChat is running then? Though that would only give you your end of the videoconference, so...

I'll get my coat
