It seems that a lot of people (including me) in the international community are thinking about taking advantage of currency exchange rates at the moment and buying a computer while travelling in the US.

Has anyone done this yet? Stories - good or bad - would be good to hear...

I don't even bother traveling. All you need is an friend who will act as an intermediary.

Where I live they started talking about iPods about 3 months after the 3rd generation came out. I already had one strapped to my body. All computer hardware I get from the States as it is well worth it.

Only issue can be with power cords. Warranty is fine as it is global - but can cause a few headaches if you try entering it online. May have to ring them and do it manually.

I love the weak US shekel.
