I've been waiting for Macromedia Contribute for quite awhile so I can test it out before I tell my Windows using clients to start using it. When's the product ever coming out?!

I agree. When is Contribute going to appear for Mac OS 10? It was announced at the end of last year... why the long wait?

Damn if that isn't true. And to think Macromedia was originally a Mac developer. -_-

FCP 1 was really good. I like Dreamweaver MX aight too. Lately most of their stuff has been questionable though.

FlashMX is just such a shoddy program on OSX - I mean I can only presume this is true for other users - but I get relatively regular sudden quits, it never remembers window layout, consistently turns the action window blank and useless.

This happens across a couple of systems, and is consistent even after reinstalls etc...

Also they never seem to release fixes for it, any sort of updates etc...

Final gripe - I have not been able to produce a Quicktime animation for a very long time, it just fails.

Used to be a good app too.

Yep, add to that the over-complication of the scene/symbol/library relationships and you have a program which turns into a nightmare to work with.

I have been using Contribute on a PC and it is a really great idea. Unfortunately it is quite a buggy program and we have been left with it in a confused state several times which stopped users from editing their sites.
Nothing to see, move along.

Yeah most of the MX series have not really been Macromedia quality products that we have all used in the past. I guess MX really stands for the final transition from a Mac company to a Windows company and they are just giving us products to keep us happy. Damm them to hell. I'm really hoping Apple will make a Flash 6 Quicktime plugin that actually works in comparison to the actual Macromedia player.
