How the hell does one actually purchase this? They require an e-mail verification number but do not e-mail me back - and haven't been able to contact them.

This may be a silly question, but have you been to the the DVD2One.com site? That's where you should go to buy it.
2007 iMac 24" 2.4 Core2Duo (currently 1Gig Ram), 4 FW400 hd's, 1 FW 800 HD, Brother MFC420N,, Liteon DVD-RW, Epson R320.

Check to make sure your Spam-killer didn't dump it. It happened to my Yahoo! account. It placed my DVD2One registration e-mail into my Bulk folder for me to sort out later.

true that. I've had it happen twice with yahoo.

I've got both DVD2ONE and DVD2oneX.

The guy is almost impossible to get in touch with. I had to flood his email box with requests before he actually e-mailed me back...

As far as purchasing and downloading dvd2oneX I had no issues though.
