9.0.4 and OS X PB to 9.1?

	i have a mac running 9.0.4 and os x pb on the same hard disc. the public beta has obviously run out and i'm not quite ready to upgrade to the full version. i want to update to 9.1 (and ditch the public beta), but can i do this without erasing my hard disc first? i have 10gb of files which will take forever to backup, so i just want to be able to run the updater. any ideas anyone???
