They'll make this a sticky as soon as they make the Powermac Pictures thread a sticky, we're still behind a few pages.

Matthew Good is a brilliant songwriter/musician. I'm a big fan. Check out his music in the iTunes Music Store.

You got some very nice photos in there. I especially liked the "urban-like" ones. Welcome to the forum also. Cheers.
Hmm. BTW, what camera do you use? I am a little n00b in photography but interested to learn more. (Waiting for my ordered Minolta DiMAGE Z10 to arrive. )

Um, so what's the trick to posting an image?? I click on the image button but nothing happens. The other buttons (eg link, email, etc) bring up a 'sheet', but image does nothing. What am I doing wrong??

you must host your image on a seperate web server than control+click or right click, open image in new window, and copy and paste that address between two img tags.
example:
[img] www.macnn.com/iwishihadafreephotoalbum.jpg [/img]
(without the spaces)

Here is my new workspace... new b/c of the 23" screen! BTW, for anyone else who has the 23" screen, have you noticed a severe color-shift on the far edges (left and right) of the screen?? I'm thinking about taking it in to get checked out. It's pretty noticeable.
Anyway, here are my pics:

This is at a local coffee shop in town called the Monkey Bean. Cool place, located off of 24th and Broadway. Free Wi-Fi, good food, great chai, and very Mac-centric.

mrwalker,
Nice pic, but I can't look at it without imagining your powerbook falling off of the arm of the couch and hitting the floor. Quick, man run over there and move it before it falls

Hey Manchungster,
Cool setup. How do you like that dell monitor? I am trying to decide between that monitor and the Apple 20in which is $250 more. What made you go for the Dell monitor?
Thanks for the pic.

I love it. There is the small issue of backlighting but it is not anything crazy for me. As for the reason why Dell over apple, it was easier to justify laying out that coin on the dell in price. The quality and reviews were good and I had mulled over it for a looonngg time. It just seemed better bang for the buck over all, imo.
They both great monitors, and it's tough to figure out which one you want.

It's perfect for the Powerbook. I have my turntables hooked up when I need to scratch/mix something. I sometimes use it while I'm on the train to do sound editing. I just have a USB cable coming out of my backpack. The Mbox acts as a key to open up ProTools LE. Can't run it without the Mbox.

Dumb question coming guys... but there are no dumb quesitons right? HA, ok here goes... i'm seeing a lot of expensive audio/mixing/w/e equiptment in these pictures. I'm assuming some of these setups cost up to 5 maybe 10grand (including the pb's). Now, i love music and making my own music just as much as the next guy, but that seems like a lot of cash to get high quality music. I'd gladly just grab a keyboard and plug my guitar in to garage band and mix it up. Can you guys tell me what you use your effects for? Seems like it's only reasonable to pump all that money into a system if your producing for money. Of course if I had money to burn i'd probly do the same, but like most ppl i don't . Please feel free to let me know what's up! It all looks so cool and i'd to see what it's used for. Thanks in advance guys!

It's great for just throwing into a backpack when on campus or whatever. It seems to offer enough protection while chillin w/ some books but you just can't throw it around real rough. I'd say if you generally take good care of your stuff this is all the case you'll need, if you tend to throw stuff around a lot I'd look for another solution.
