Ok, Since my thread got crapped but a user, I am updating somethings on this to make it most desirable to everyone.

This is whats included
-----
17" powerbook17-inch TFT Display
1440x900 resolution
1.5GHz PowerPC G4
512K L2 cache
512MB DDR333 SDRAM
80GB Ultra ATA/100 (5400RPM HD)
ATI Mobility Radeon
9700 (128MB DDR)
Backlit Keyboard
Gigabit Ethernet
FireWire 400 & 800
AirPort Extreme built-in
DVI & S-Video out
PRICE W/STUDENT = 2634.00 + added tax ur looking way above 2700. Do the Math
----
xcode tools, panther developer edition and other developer CDs that came with my package.
----
Booq Powersleeve17" - a case sleeve for your powerbook to carry around - very high quality material to protect the powerbook
Price - 54.95$
----
Apple Pro mouse AND pro keyboard - I even have the original boxes for these.
Price W/student - 62+62=124$
----
Griffin iCurve - 'nuff said -
Price - 39.99
----
XL apple black t-shirt - never worn...just came with it
----

Whoever else thread craps is an idiot. Sorry but this is apple's most top of the line powerbook. So if you have a problem with it keep it to yourself.

Price that you would be paying w/student - 2852.94 + TAX
Price that I am asking for - 2600 + shipping

Do that math. You save 252.94 off there alone and not paying the tax apple charges you.

This and you dont have to take the risk of you screen getting dead pixels, becuase this one HAS ZERO.

This is only a little over a month old. Even the box is Pristine.
You know what your going to get.

Here is the catch. I will only take paypal to insure my safety and yours. Any questions please e-mail me at [email protected]

Also for pictures of the powerbook go to my spymac act, the items for sale is the powerbook and the accessories that I stated in this thread. Nothing Else.

AGAIN NO THREAD CRAPPING.

Pent ll 233Mhz
64Mb Ram
4mb video card > gets really good fps on doom 3
4 gig hardrive
2x CD Rom
28.8k Modem
HP Keyboard and mouse
Great Custom Beige Case
Really really quiet machine
Windows 95

I can put some benchmarks for this machine if you like.

If you got this with an Educational Dev discount, with the edition of your mouse and powersleeve, you probably still didn't pay $2600 for it.

At maximum you paid $2500 for the notebook, and your mouse, sleeve, and screensaver probably cost another $100.

You could get this new for basically $2600.

I really hope no one buys this.

How I typically do is take the current price of the laptop via student pricing and subtract from mine, then we work from there.
If you have this wonderful method, why not list what you paid for everything? And, if "we" work from there, why are you "firm"?

what are you smoking? the powerbook alone costs $2499 + tax, plus the harddrive upgrade $45 + video upgrade $90. The sleeve $50ish, mouse is $30ish, plus screen saver. granted its a little expensive but fair, if you have stuff to say you should keep it to pm.

The only way this is figurable is if this guy thought he was looking at a 15"er. This is by far the highest end notebook from apple and at a pretty good price. At education pricing the notebook alone is going to run you almost $2700 in most areas(pending on sales tax) and you add in the HD upgrade and the graphics and you're looking at nearly $2900. Anything included with this sale beyond the machine is just more of the buyer getting pampered. If you're in store for a 1.5ghz 17" PB and you haven't bought this, you need your head checked.

Thread CRAPPING is not allowed, keep your comments to your self.

Truthfully all in all I suffered paying tax on this item. So in a way it's paying what the student discount price WITH the additional 128VRAM 5400rpm Drive.

I went ahead and updated the pricing. If I dont sell this by tonight, im putting it on ebay.

One thing to add, if you were a student and sign up for the dev discount u would have to pay 99$ to register.

Do that math when you add your costs together.
