Possible idea for final Boot Camp

Today I had this very interesting idea about how Apple could possibly improve Boot Camp in its final release. Since Apple has said that they have no intention of jumping on the VM train and only seems to be interested in dual booting I wondered how they could improve that experience. And then it came to me... Safe Sleep. What if they used the technology behind Safe Sleep to basically let you have a "OS" changer icon in your menu bar, when clicked the OS would suspend all of the OSs memory to HD (which the system already does with SafeSleep) then reboot you into windows. They could then write a corresponding task bar icon for windows that would hibernate windows (using the hibernate function already in windows) and then reboot back into the Mac OS which would then resume back from "SafeSleep"
What do you think?

They have a email address for Boot Camp feedback ( [email protected]) so I sent it off to them.

Good idea. Glad I thought of it and patented it.

You're a bloody genius!
It does worry me that they've taken that off the site though. I was actually very much looking forward to it. I have an XP partition on my iMac for work-related stuff and didn't want to go the virtualization route but hate the need to fully reboot each time.
Let's keep our fingers crossed.
