I've got an old G5 case with a bad logic board. The power supply is fine as far as I know, and the case is in good condition, but I haven't seen a lot of these things for sale on ebay or whatever. What is the most profitable way to get rid of this thing?

Moved your thread to the appropriate forum.

That said, almost everything has a market for the right price. It'd be easier to sell local though... and probably for fairly cheap. OR, you could part it out.

Are the processors good? The parts should be of value to someone.

That case would be valuable as I bet someone would love to put something in it (e.g. PC, PS3, XBox360, etc.). When I parted out my Amiga 3000 the parts were worth more than the computer...a G5 would be worth your time to part out and sell.

even working G5s loaded with RAM aren't commanding much these days.

i see them on Craigslist for $200-$300 often.

good luck with your sale!

You'll definitely get more parting it out. Over $100... maybe more... Selling as-is broken... I'd say $50-75.

The last time I sold a working G5 (A few months ago), I tried to sell it for $250, then $200, then finally had a taker at $150.
