I'm going to try to make this long story as short as possible...

Starting Monday and intensifying throughout the week, I've been experiencing a deep pain just beneath the right side of my rib cage. It hurts when I breathe. It hurts when I try to sleep. I haven't been able to figure out what it is...until yesterday.

I had an "incident" at work last Monday where a large, heavy, wooden table fell towards me. I caught it in an awkward way with the right side of my body, and I knew I had done something. It hurt, but not that bad.

The doctor asked me if the pain became so severe by Monday night. When I told him it wasn't really bad until Thursday, he looked puzzled and asked me if I had done anything else to strain my body since Monday. I thought for a minute, and then said, "Well, nothing except this game on my iPhone..."

Then I showed him MotionX Poker, the iPhone game where you roll dice by shaking the iPhone. I've been playing it while I drive, while I walk, and basically any other "dead" time of the day. The doctor said, "Yep...that's what has done most of the damage since your initial injury. I'd stay off the iPhone games for a week or two if I were you."

So I'm currently sitting here, dazed by the muscle relaxers, and embarrassed that I have a strained abdominal wall and pulled muscles because of MotionX Poker.

Beware your iPhone apps...they could make life miserable for you.

So, you aggravated an injury with your iPhone. Classic.

That's the reason I played it so often. You only have to devote a minimal amount of thought and attention to this game. It became almost like breathing...

I appreciate the well wishes. It's really not a big deal at all, though. Hurts a bit, but the humor in the story is the reason that I posted. Pathetic, really.

That's why I stick with chess. Little risk of injury from my iPhone.

Wow that's truly classic.
I think MotionX Player requires little to no attention to play compared to Chess. Hence how Jaw was able to play while driving.

Not going to pretend to wish you well. ^-^"

Umm, driving isn't dead time. Taking your eyes, and hands off the wheel to play a game on the iPhone is risky. Its bad enough people talk, text while driving, I think playing a game is even more dangerous.

Play Motionx. You'll understand.

I never took my eyes off the road unless at a stop light or while stopped in traffic. You can just shake away, and wait until the moment that you can glance at the screen, then shake again.

Of course, I probably looked pretty weird shaking like a madman as people drove by, but still...

Maybe soo but you are still taking your attention off the road. No matter how mindless the game may be, you still need to give it some focus. I still stand by my point that playing a game on the iphone while driving is risky and you are putting yourself and others on the road in danger.

Why is it embarrassing?

Sorry you got hurt and whatever way you aggravated your injury is not really embarrassing.

However, playing a video game and driving is a stupid and dangerous thing to do.

Why can't you young people just drive?

Didn't seem embarrassing. Maybe if you were playing MotionX Jenna Jameson.
