I'm getting this message a lot now.
If I click deny, the box wont go away. It's sticks ugly over a video.
3rd parties can store info, but it is vague about everything.
Then it says if you say no videos may not have enough space.. anyone have a opinion on this? thanks.

They're spying on you. Nothing new - everybody does it.
The video-loading script is written to store a little cookie on your computer so it can track what videos you watch. If you want to avoid the question, the easiest is to just let all sites store data and the periodically clear it from here.

The new Mac Pro has up to 30 MB of cache inside the processor itself. That's more than the HD in my first Mac. Somehow I'm still running out of space.

Thanks P,
Question:
is this nefarious? or as they claim just a setting to allow more space so the videos function better? (or both)
I caved in last night and click ok, because the box is right in the center of the video, and would not dismiss even though I clicked Deny.

It's a cookie, except in a spot that is a little harder to find and delete. They don't use that space for anything that make the movie clip any better.

That's what they say though P, it's for extra space the video may need! So what do they want to know? so they are lying? What do you recommend?

They just want to track what you're watching, same as just about every ad network ever checks what webpages you view. As I said, just click OK and then clear the storage every now and then.

The "extra space" is measured in bytes, maybe 200 bytes or so max for a big cookie. For a Flash cookie, it'll be much smaller in most cases. You won't run out of space for videos because of what Flash wants to store on your computer.

I hate this mentality that because it is prevalent that we accept that spying on us acceptable. A big FU is required.

The big FU is "don't use said services". I do what I can by not using Flash and clearing the cookies every now and then, but it's not exactly useful advice to tell someone to not watch videos when the question is how to watch a video.
