I can't seem to find any way to transmit these 96 x 65 pixel wallpaper images to my Nokia 3560. Is there an app for OS X that will send SMS images of this size to this phone model?

Thanks,

You can select it in the Finder and then select "Send File to Bluetooth Device" in the Services menu.

Don't have a bluetooth enabled computer nor do I think the 3560 is bluetooth capable.

I tried the email route and just got 'filename.jpg' instead of an attatchment.

Was I doing something wrong?

I've also looked on EVERY Spec page I can find and don't see anything about the 3560 having bluetooth. The 3650 does, maybe you're thinking of that.

This is my phone (slightly different keypad though)

hmm - shouldn't be. It will accept OBEX pushes - but without Bluetooth you'll have to find some app that will do OBEX over the transport it does have.

What transports does it have? Infra-Red? Cable?

Do you have a Nokia Data cable or IR on your mac?

There are apps for sending things to nokias -

Just been to the Nokia page on your phone.

It doesn't have IR either - looks like you'll have to buy a data cable (and USB->Serial Adapter)

Sell your phone on eBay (if it isn't SIM locked or whatever the equivalent is in the US) and for what you get for it plus what you would pay for the datacable you can get a nice Bluetooth phone.

Or live with the default wallpaper.

I like my phone, the defaults aren't bad it's just that according to Nokia, there ARE ways to get things to it, they just don't make a Cable for it.

I JUST got it and refuse to sell my phone on ebay and pay retail for features I may not use on a newer model. I'll find a hacked up way I guess.

Very odd - I don't remember any nokias that didn't have any kind of data cable - but by the look of this page:

http://www.ringtonerfest.com/6100/6100/data.html

it would appear that your model doesn't do data.

I would seriously suggest getting a less basic model.

you have to do it via WAP ... specify the URL to the picture (somewhere in the web) and save it.
