Florida Highway Patrol troopers say a two-vehicle crash Tuesday at Mile Marker 21 on Cudjoe Key was caused by a 37-year-old woman driver who was shaving her bikini area while her ex-husband took the wheel from the passenger seat.

"She said she was meeting her boyfriend in Key West and wanted to be ready for the visit," Trooper Gary Dunick said. "If I wasn't there, I wouldn't have believed it. About 10 years ago I stopped a guy in the exact same spot ... who had three or four syringes sticking out of his arm. It was just surreal and I thought, 'Nothing will ever beat this.' Well, this takes it."

P.S. Doesn't it also seem odd that her ex-husband was helping drive her to meet her boyfriend? Not as odd as the shaving part though of course.

P.S. A lot of Canadians winter in Florida. I guess the weather is good, but I prefer cultures like New York, so most of Florida's retirement destinations are very unappealing to me. However, maybe that'll change when I hit 65 and get sick of driving through 15 cm of fresh snow, who knows.

You know, if she was in the passenger seat I would have thought "Huh that's a new one" and let the image disappear from my mind. But to try and do something so "delicate" while driving* an automobile down the highway is rather mind-blowing.

when I was in 8th grade I participated in Track and Field. we were traveling to an away meet in buses; the boy in one bus, the girls in another. When we got to the meet, I heard one of the oddest stories of my young life. One of my friends on the girls bus peered out the window while we were stopped at a red light. In the car to next to her she saw a man masturbating. Immediately she started screaming and hilarity quickly ensued.
