hi guys...I successfully modded my dock in leopard awhile ago and since then I needed to wipe my drive. when it was back up and running, I went to mod the dock again and it worked, but dock.app permenantly shows up in my dock as an open application. When I try to force quit it, the dock quits and reloads. whats going on here? thanks guys!

Can't you just right-click on the dock icon and say 'Remove from dock'? Don't know if that helps indefinately, but just for starters?

I've heard about odd things happening in Leopard when you modify system applications, because Leopard signs those apps and doesn't give them special permissions if they've been modified.

Hey, I have the exact same problem, and dragging it out of the dock does not work. It just floats back in. please help!
