Do you think it's fair to assume Apple would put GPS into the Touch at its next revision, which I starting to hear mumble might be around Sept?
|
What, me worry?

a) the mumble says that iPod touch supplies are currently dwindling.
b) GPS in an iPod touch makes absolutely zero sense UNLESS Apple is thinking of offering locally-storable maps.

Will it get BlueTooth? Will it be feature crippled?
Anyone who knows isn't going to be saying.

Well isn't that what Garmin and/or Tom Tom are making the iPhone apps for? It was with them in mind that, to me, adding GPS to the Touch would make sense.

Not to mention being able to add geocoding information to your photos.

No GPS or Bluetooth. I think a camera is more likely. However, part of me thinks that the iPod touch may go the way of the Newton.

GPS in a music player doesn't make any sense to me. It's different in the iPhone because the iPhone has data connectivity for assisted GPS, maps, etc.

iPod Touch will get the app store, and 2.0 software
in September, it will get a bigger size, and cheaper price. No GPS, Bluetooth or camera.
Apple would rather have you buy the iPhone than the iPod Touch, no?
