When MacOS X Server was first made available, I purchased it. Then I left the country for 6-months and returned wanted to get ahold of the Mac OS X Server 10.1 Upgrade CD. I called Apple requesting it and told me the upgrade is no longer available, as I missed the "upgrade window" for the CD.
Does anyone have this CD they'd be willing to sell or lend to me? Also, any opinions about this type of "leave you on the island" upgrade policies are welcome.

I'm in the same boat, but I don't really blame Apple for it.
The original Mac OS X Server was release in (Jan?) 2001.
Mac OS X Server 10.x was released in the middle if 2001 (I don't recall the exact date).
The upgrade to Mac OS X Server 10.1 was $10 (or was it $15? I forget now). That's a real bargain, although some say justified given the state of the original Mac OS X Server.
The upgrade program expired on March 15th, so you had at least 6 months to upgrade to the latest version for minimal cost.
I do agree that there should be some upgrade path offered (maybe $100?) for those that didn't upgrade, but I don't expect the $10 offer to be available forever.
I'm with you if you want to petition Apple for a discounted upgrade. Having said that, though, the number of original Mac OS X Server users that are like you and me probably isn't that many.
