This is for anyone to gripe about Drupal. I've spent all day just figuring out how to upload media; First I had to implement a media type content, and some extra form fields, and and and....

In wordpress there's a happy little icon you click, and voila you've uploaded media. Why should you have to create a media content? Shouldn't any website content management system assume that you know, users will upload CONTENT?

I hate you Drupal. I miss you WordPress.

WordPress is cool, but it will be interesting to see what, if any, the team will do to modernize the WP coding style to work in a more MVC way.

I've tried Drupal, Joomla, WordPress, Zen, and some other CMS and Drupal is the most basic out of the box. I think they expect you to install just the modules you want which makes it more customizable and probably faster but it's a pain in the butt. I went through some tutorials and after a while moved to Joomla which is a cross between the complexity of Drupal and the simplicity of WordPress. I finally reverted to using RapidWeaver with Blogger content and a photo CMS all transparently working together. Not an ideal solution since I'm ties to Mac and OSX but it works well for me. I think I'll eventually migrate everything to Joomla but I'm not ready to dedicate the time needed to do it.
