does anyone know if theres any major seling difference between the lacie porsche and the lacie extreme firewire drives (except the use of firewire 800). i need to get one quick and the porsche is much lower in price but seems so much nicer. just wondering why.
thanks.

The Porsche has a cheaper case - plastic instead of metal (the face plate is metal, but I believe the main part is hard plastic). It sits flat instead of upright. And of course it doesn't have FW 800.

The D2 is more of a looker - machined aluminum, blue light, etc. The Porsche is more minimalist. But I'm sure the Porsche works just as well if you don't need FW 800.
