My case is warped. not bad but it is. I just got it on Saturday (yesterday) and now noticed it. I got it at an apple store and plan on taking it back in tomorrow. but can they replace it right away or do they have to send it in? i know i am within the 10 to 14 day were i can get it replaced. So my question is will they want to send it in or just replace it?

They should replace it. If not, speak to a supervisor. If that fails, take it to a different Apple Store if that is an option. I find that some Apple Stores are more accommodating than others.

Just ask...

P.S. I RMA'd a MBP with a warped display, no problem.

Do you have a picture?
My MBP is warped too (approx. 2 mm towards the bottom at the middle), and I might just accept it as a fact of life.
I've seen fotos on Flickr where MBPs were slightly warped, and actual MBPs in shops that also were "hanging" at the middle.

Thanks.

the ones in the apple store by me ALL had a 2mm gap and so does mine...that might be the way it bends as its removed from the mold...

What do you mean by warped? When my 15" MBP C2D is closed, the screen is like a "V" on the flat bottom, with the ends of the "V" about 1 mm higher than the middle. It's not disturbing, just not entirely satisfacting at this price.

I rather miss the magnetic latch like the MacBook has it.

My keyboard keys are crooked and protrude unevenly at the edges.
